The AIDS ribbon has been the international symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness since it was conceived over ten years ago. It is red in color to symbolize blood and danger with the tails of the ribbon pointing down to show life flowing away. People around the world wear the AIDS red ribbon to demonstrate their support for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, especially on World AIDS Day. To purchase your virtual AIDS ribbons to help rid the world of an epidemic that is not virtual, but very real, click here.

Each spring thousands of students from colleges and universities from across the United States step out of the Ivory Tower and spend a week volunteering their time and effort in community service.

This effort is known as Alternative Spring Break. Venues are spread throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and Central America. Activities are as diverse as environmental clean up, teaching literacy, painting, cleaning, working in schools, day care, working on a farm and even helping to build an entire house.

Participants return revitalized with a first hand understanding of the conditions that affect the lives of many disadvantaged people.

UTOPIA

Support New York's Finest: Shop at The Official NYPD Store. The official online store of the New York City Police Department - the only authorized internet outlet dedicated to the sale of licensed merchandise bearing the trademarks of the NYPD - launched September 2003 by the New York City Police Foundation. Approximately fifteen percent of all retail sales generated by the official online store of the New York City Police Foundation is paid to the Foundation to fund its programs in support of the NYPD.

In an ideal world the golden rule, do to others what you'd have them do to you, would be the thought of the day. The strong would assist the weak. The healthy would nurture the sick. The rich would use their wealth to assist the poor. This is not that world.

To protect the interests of all we support two watchdog groups, one environmental organization, two volunteer led humanitarian organizations and a unique way to support AIDS research.

We hope that you consider supporting these organizations.
